Wendy Schillings, MD, FACOG
Dr. Schillings is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist. She leads all aspects of patient care at RMAPA. In addition, she formerly led the medical team at RE & I Specialist with the Lehigh Valley Physician Group. Dr. Schillings is chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Lehigh Valley Hospital Health Network and clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Penn State College of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, completed her residency at Washington University in St. Louis and her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at University of Maryland Medical System, Baltimore, MD. During her fellowship, she acquired extensive sub-specialty training in reproductive medicine and advanced reproductive technology, while fine-tuning her operative skills in laser laparoscopy and operative hysteroscopic procedures. Dr. Schillings has authored several publications and has lectured extensively. She was honored with Golden Apple Medical Student Teaching Award in 2006 and APGO (Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Excellence in Teaching Award in 2004.
Paul A. Bergh, MD, FACOG
Dr. Bergh is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, obstetrician and gynecologist at RMAPA. He is also Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His areas of specialty include improving infertility diagnosis and treatment, particularly in the areas of diminished ovarian reserve, assessing embryonic competence and recurrent miscarriages. Dr. Bergh earned his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has authored numerous scientific articles, research papers and textbook chapters on issues in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. He was awarded the Berlex Resident Education Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and was the first recipient of the very first RESOLVE of New Jersey Zenith Award, given to recognize superior work in patient care in infertility treatment.
Juanita Kaness, CRNP
Juanita is board certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who has over 20 years of experience. Juanita obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from DeSales University and furthered her academics at The University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing as a women’s health care nurse practitioner. In addition to these accolades, Juanita recently earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Thomas Jefferson University. Before joining the RMAPA team, Juanita served as Director of Nursing at Lehigh Carbon Community College while working part time as a CRNP at Lehigh Valley Women’s Medical Specialties (LVWMS). Prior to working at LVWMS, Juanita was employed at St. Luke’s Midwifery Center. When asked what she likes most about working in the women’s health field, Juanita replied that she enjoys just being a nurse and helping patients achieve their health goals.
