Relaxing Reads from the RMAPA Library
While relaxing on your deck, by the pool, or beachside during the hot summer months remember staying educated and positive about your infertility can be the key to your success. RMAPA offers a small collection of books, which are directly related to infertility. All books are available for patients to sign out of the office and enjoy at their leisure. This library provides a great resource for patients to get new outlooks on their infertility journey, as well as life. Below is a brief summary of some of the books that are currently offered in the library:
This book presents a comprehensive overview of miscarriage written from a patient’s perspective. She dismisses common myths, provides flow charts to help reveal the cause of any previous unexplained loss, and offers positive, practical options for action. The upbeat tone inspires a positive attitude, and the book enables each woman to identify the path that is right for her based on her unique personality and circumstance.
Conquering Infertility, by Harvard psychologist Alice Domar, provides infertile couples with what they need most: stress relief, support, and hope. With Conquering Infertility, women learn how to cope with infertility in a uniquely positive way and to start a healthier life filled with happiness using innovative mind and body techniques.
Love and Infertility
“Love and Infertility is a unique book that helps those battling infertility realize a couple is already a family” according to Lisa Rosenthal, American Infertility Association. This book is nicely organized and divided into three main sections including: Creating Your Destiny, Communicating as One, and Rolling with the Changes. Kristen introduces each strategy with a true experience from her own long struggle with infertility and then provides a step-by-step system to implement the recommendation into daily life.
