I found out that I had polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in my late teens/early twenties. I knew that it would be difficult for me to get pregnant with PCOS. My husband has an older son from a previous relationship so we assumed that he was healthy and fertile; however, that turned out not to be the case and we knew that we needed assistance.
I have known the director of RMAPA for years. I also work with multiple people who have used RMAPA and had success, and so it seemed like the most logical choice. And, it was. Our experience was wonderful. Everyone at RMAPA is amazing and I can’t think of a single complaint.
We began working with the practice in 2012. Dr. Schillings recommended IVF right away because of my husband’s low sperm count and mobility. Our first cycle was not successful but our second and third cycles were. Thanks to RMAPA, we now have a set of 3-year-old twin boys and a 6-month-old son. I cannot stress enough how helpful RMAPA was. They really listen to you.
The advice I would give to others in this situation is that RMAPA knows what they are doing and has a method. It may not all make sense to you right away, but I encourage you to listen to their care plan and follow how it’s being given. Each care plan is different for each patient, couple, and experience, and it works.
