Jessica Hodgkins had three miscarriages before her regular OB/GYN recommended that she go see RMAPA. After undergoing a variety of different tests, we discovered that Jessica had Antiphospholipid Syndrome, a blood clotting disorder.
Since this disorder is treated through medication, we suggested that Jessica and her husband try again naturally. They did get pregnant, but unfortunately they experienced another loss as it turned out the baby had Turner syndrome. At that point, we decided that IVF was best option for Jessica because we could utilize preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) to ensure that any future embryo would not have the same chromosomal issue.
We were able to retrieve three healthy embryos from Jessica in November of 2015 and by 2016 she had a healthy, beautiful son and could not be happier. Read Jessica’s full story featured in Lehigh Valley Magazine.
