My husband and I decided to wait until we were married a while before trying to get pregnant, but when we started trying, it wasn’t happening. It felt like everyone else had no problem getting pregnant. After a year and a half of trying, my OBGYN suggested we visit RMAPA.
We were extremely scared at first. We weren’t sure what to expect, but everyone at RMAPA was so friendly, it put us at ease.
The process with RMAPA is so organized and everyone is so willing to help. I felt completely comfortable. We started our relationship with RMAPA in Fall of 2016, and I was released from their care in June 2017. One treatment of IVF was all it took! Dr. Schillings and the team at RMA explain everything in a way that is so helpful and caring. They made the process as stress-free as possible.
We decided to start off with IVF because our insurance only covered a max lifetime amount for fertility treatment. I only had one embryo make it to the end of the cycle, but it worked. Once I got the call that I was pregnant, I continued to visit RMAPA every week for blood work. It felt strange when I was released from their care because of how hands-on the initial process was.
To anyone going through infertility, it is a nerve-wracking process, but I would encourage you to seek a fertility clinic and go through with the consultation. Trying to get pregnant is a lot of stress on you and a lot of added stress between you and your spouse. When we were able to figure out what was going on, it felt like a weight was lifted. We were able to utilize this incredible resource that was at our disposal. I had to remind myself to not be stubborn and to let the experts help.
